I have exciting news! I have decided to participate in my first ever NAMIWalks event! NAMIWalks celebrates recovery from mental illness, helps raise funds, fight stigma, and promote awareness. Together, we will walk to support families and individuals with mental illness and to eliminate the stigma they face every day.
NAMI stands for National Alliance on Mental Illness. It is a mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for people affected by mental illness. NAMI is the leading non-profit organization advocating for mental illness in the United States. Changing the way the world views mental health one day at a time.
NAMI has done so much for the mental health community, it is only right to show support to this amazing organization. NAMI was such a great source of information for me when I was first diagnosed with my mental illness. It's website provides information about mental health, ways to find support, and opportunities to get involved with the organization. If you find yourself wanting to learn more, definitely check out the website: www.nami.org
Since being diagnosed with anxiety and depression, I am always trying to find ways to be involved with the mental health community. What better way than to walk amongst others who are fighting the same battle as I am! I have such a passion for being a mental health advocate. It means the world to me to be able to share my story and inspire others.
Join the movement and walk for mental health! You can make a donation on my page or come out to the NAMIWalks event on Saturday October 7th at Grand Park in Los Angeles. Any support to this cause would be amazing! Click on the picture below and you will be directed to my page on the NAMIWalks website. Let's end the stigma together!
Thank you for all your continued support!
